Job Description
We are seeking a digital native as prepress designer (m/f/d) for data and digital assets preparation. Our prepress team is handling more than 7000 artworks per year and we aim for more and more digitalization of our processes.
The day-to-day tasks are:
- Prepare and automate prepress master data
- Inspect incoming data, review with key stakeholders within the organization
- Prepare data for digital and conventional printing processes, as well as for external suppliers
- Edit digital artwork (InDesign) and images (Photoshop) and produce files (pdf or image extension file) according to various printing parameters using Esko platform
- Implement technical drawings and provide support and cooperation with internal and external customers
- A team player with a solid and customer-oriented personality
- A completed technical apprenticeship or bachelor's degree
Qualifications
- We are looking for a "digital native" with a keen interest in new technologies and good knowledge of the latest standard Microsoft Office services
- Completed technical apprenticeship or bachelor's degree as a prepress designer for print media (m/f/d) or comparable qualification in the field of prepress
- In-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud software with scripting (java,VBS) a plus
- Professional experience in prepress, ideally using Esko suit
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, with German being an advantage
- Quick comprehension and high willingness to learn
- A team player with a solid and customer-oriented personality
- Ideally, initial experience in the field of data analytics or interest in it
- Analytical skills and a structured way of working
- Strong communication skills, initiative, and creative drive
- Very good Excel skills
- Interest in Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerBI and databases (SQL)
- Independent and team-oriented way of working
